Bellevue Reserve’s main function is biodiversity conservation. The bushland Reserve was created as part of the adjoining subdivision and development of part of the Yarra Valley Water storage area to protect this remnant vegetation.
It is part of the Urban Miscellaneous (Zerbes Reserve, Blackburn Road), Biosite 35 in Council’s Healthy Habitats Bushland Management Strategy 2012.

Located next to the historical Heimat House, this venue offers a function room and a multi purpose room and is ideal for classes, meetings and private functions.
The rooms are divided by a fully functional kitchen, with a servery through to the function room. The function room has timber floors and a small stage area with wall mirrors. The multi-purpose room has carpeted flooring, providing an ideal space for classes.
Hosting a birthday party? Our facilities cater for children aged 12 years or under and adults aged 22 years and above.

We have a pricing structure to suit your needs. Bookings during the week are for a minimum of 2 hours, and 4 hours during the weekend.
If you book more than 10 times during a year, you are eligible for the regular hirer rate.

North East Link Program is building a new interchange at Bulleen Road that will connect an upgraded Eastern Freeway to the 6.5km North East Link tunnels in Bulleen.
To create the space for new ramps and the interchange, North East Link Program is building a diversion at Bulleen Road.
From late May there will be long term changes to how you access Bulleen Road and local areas.
Bulleen Road will be closed between Thompsons Road and Carey Bulleen Sports Complex in both directions from 7.30pm on Friday 24 May until 5.30am on Monday 27 May.
A detour will be in place via Thompsons and Manningham roads to keep you moving.
Lane closures along Thompsons Road will be required at times.
Access to local schools, clubs and sporting grounds will remain open as they complete these works.
From 5.30am on Monday 27 May, traffic will move onto the new Bulleen Road diversion, subject to weather conditions.
Savernake Reserve connects Savernake Court to the Blackburn Road and associated bus stops. It has a seat and is attractively landscaped.
A ramp and landscaping were constructed at the Saveranke Court end to deal with the steep bank into the Reserve.

The fun playspace at Maggs Reserve includes a junior play unit with two slides, pommel walk monkey bar and swings. There is a drink fountain and picnic table which is perfect to spend some time with the family.
Access to the reserve is from Ireland Avenue and Maude Avenue. The Reserve provides a path network that allows local residents to utilise these links and also provides an attractive green space within surrounding residential developments for informal recreational pursuits.

Bronte Playground, located at the southern end of Green Gully Linear Park was upgraded in 2010. The play equipment caters well for all ages and the areas also includes a hit up wall and basketball half court. Its main frontage is to Serpells Road but it connects to the north via Bronte Rise to Jenkins Playground.
There is a bus stop directly outside on Serpells Road and the playground is in the catchment of two primary schools. This locality is well catered for with play and informal recreation opportunities and no further development is required.

Did you know that the giant play tower at Victoria Street playground is inspired by Manningham’s historic Doncaster Tower? Built by Alfred Hummel in 1879 and located at the top of Doncaster Hill, Doncaster Tower became a popular lookout offering stunning panoramic views and attracting visitors from all over Melbourne.
Although the tower was demolished in 1914, its legacy continues at Victoria Street playground. For more interesting information, including a scale model of the tower, stop by Schramm’s Cottage Museum, off Victoria Street in Rieschiecks Reserve.

The Disney Channel's smash hit movie musical comes to life on stage in Disney’s High School Musical JR. Troy, Gabriella and the students of East High must deal with issues of love, friends and family while balancing their classes and extra-curricular activities.
It’s the first day after winter break at East High. The Jocks, Brainiacs, Thespians and Skater Dudes all find their cliques. Basketball team captain and resident jock, Troy, discovers that the brainy Gabriella, a girl he met singing karaoke on his ski trip, has just enrolled at East High. The couple causes an upheaval when they decide to audition for the high school musical. Although many students resent the threat posed to the "status quo," Troy and Gabriella’s alliance might just open the door for others to shine as well.

The following historical groups and societies actively seek to promote and preserve Manningham’s heritage.
Reconciliation Manningham is a small, committed group working to advance reconciliation through partnerships between Aboriginal people, Wurundjeri Tribe Land and Compensation Cultural Heritage Council, Manningham Council and the local community.
The group aims to preserve, protect and promote respect for, and pride in our Australian Aboriginal culture and heritage. They achieve this through offering a host of activities, programs, events and services that directly involve, support and include Aboriginal people.
Through Heritage Week, Reconciliation Week and other key times throughout the year, the group leads local Indigenous heritage walks and history presentations, and are also available to present indigenous history education within local schools. Fascinating information about local sites of significance and the process of reconciliation is presented on their website. New members are welcome.
It's important to keep building and maintaining our muscle strength as we age, so we can keep doing all the things we want to.
