WBSI is suitable for people of all ages and abilities. It is free to participate, and fundraising is encouraged. Register to join in the action in person or online.
Held in recognition of Dementia Action Week, people living with dementia, and their families, carers or support networks are invited to meet Koby the therapy dog. Koby is a beautiful gentle Keeshond dog with a soft grey fur/wool coat. His owner, Rosalie spins his fur using it to knit garments.
You will be able to pat Koby, see his fur being spun and garments made from it. Afternoon tea will be served.
Come join Wurundjeri man Thane Garvey-Gannaway as he shares stories about cultural life along Birrarung (Yarra River) and how traditional owners cared for the landscape.
Thane will guide you through some of the area's local historical significance, highlighting the importance of connecting with Country together with a local knowledge of the Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung culture.
