… Media release: Pride Night returns to Aquarena in 2025 Active Manningham and Manningham Council are bringing Pride Night at Aquarena back …
Article Content

Active Manningham and Manningham Council are bringing Pride Night at Aquarena back for 2025. This free event will bring together our LGBTQIA+ community and their families, friends and allies.

Pride Night 2025 will be held Sunday 2 February 2025 from 5.00pm to 8.00pm at Aquarena Aquatic and Leisure Centre on Williamsons Road in Templestowe Lower.

Guests can expect fun, fitness, and connection with performances by Holly Pop and Xena Ghost, music provided by DJ Literally, Zumba classes and water aerobics, and a free barbecue.

Manningham Mayor, Councillor Deirdre Diamante said Council is committed to ensuring there are opportunities for everyone to be included in community life.

“Pride Night is a celebration of diversity, joy, and connection, and we’re thrilled to invite everyone to come along and join the fun.”

“Diversity is at the heart of what makes Manningham such a vibrant and connected community, these events strengthen our understanding, and reminds us that inclusion makes us all stronger,” Cr Diamante said.

Manningham Youth Service support worker Leo went along in 2024 and shared their thoughts on the value of inclusive community events.

"Events like this are an important way for community organisations like Aquarena to invite in the LGBTQIA+ community in and show them that it is a safe space to exist and that the service is for them as well as everyone else."

Come along to Aquarena and celebrate Pride Night in February.

You can find out more and register for the event on the Manningham Council website.

Bus stop and shelter construction

Increasing public transport movement

We identify and prioritise the routes and stops that commuters use most.

We consider community feedback, commuter demand and  nearby services and facilities to identify locations where new shelters or upgrades are needed.

Works to build new shelters are prioritised by:

  • commuter demand and historical requests
  • the type of road the bus stop is located on
  • the bus stop’s location relative to various facilities within the community.

On average, we aim to build between three and five, new or upgraded shelters every year.

The timing for new shelter projects may be influenced by factors like big road projects or large developments in Manningham.

International Women’s Day Breakfast 2025 - SOLD OUT
… If you have any questions about this event, contact us . Manningham Function Centre Accessible Manningham Business Whats On … International Women’s Day …

This event has sold out.

International Women’s Day is a global celebration of women’s achievements and raises awareness for women’s equality.

Thirty years ago, the world committed to a bold vision for gender equality, the United Nations' Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action.

Since then, we’ve seen women break barriers, reshape policies, and ignite global movements. Yet, despite these strides, the promises made remain largely unfulfilled for millions of women worldwide. We are simply not where we should be.

It’s time to turn promises into progress. March Forward.

Join us for International Women’s Day 2025 to commemorate Beijing+30 and #MarchForward for a gender equal future.

Our annual International Women’s Day Breakfast is being held on Thursday 6 March 2025, with keynote speaker Dr Emma Fulu, one of the world’s leading experts on ending violence against women and girls.

Tickets now on sale and are $25 per person, including a plated breakfast.

If you have any questions about this event, contact us.

This is an accessible event. Access supports, including Auslan or language interpreters can be requested at the time of booking.
