Whitehorse Manningham Libraries are hosting free events during This girl can week. Community members can try out a variety of outdoor games that can be borrowed from the library.

Don't miss this opportunity to discover the joy of outdoor games and experience the benefits of physical activity in a casual and fun environment.

The library's outdoor games collection includes classics like badminton, egg and spoon race as well as modern favourites like giant tumble towers, Finska and Spikeball.

Whether you're a seasoned player or a complete beginner, there's something for everyone to enjoy - come down and have a go!

Located on level 1, the Warrandyte room can seat up to 10 people. It adjoins the Donvale room and can be hired together and opened up to create one large space to seat 20 people.

Donvale Room

14 guests in theatre style

Located on level 1, the Donvale room adjoins the Warrandyte room and can be hired together and opened up to create one large space to seat 20 people.

Studio 4

14 guests seated in boardroom style

Located on level 2, ideal for small meetings.

Studio 4 can open into Studio 5 for a larger space for up to 28 people.

Do you need support to help your newborn baby learn to sleep? Come along to one of our free information sessions.

Through the Maternal and Child Health Sleep and Settling initiative, we are providing support for parents experiencing sleep and settling concerns with their young children.

During this in-person session, consultants will teach you an evidence-informed sleep and settling model of care.

Topics covered will include:

Age specific development
Normal sleep patterns
Ways to deal with sleep difficulties
Information about your wellbeing.

There will be time at the end of the session for you to ask questions about your specific situation.

In addition to the sessions, we are proud to provide an outreach service for interested parents. Speak to our Sleep and Settling Specialist at the end of the session for more information.

Only parents who attend Manningham Maternal and Child Health service are eligible for this service.

Sessions are also available for older babies and toddlers.

We put your child’s needs first

Our play based learning values individual children’s needs, strengths and interests. We've a flexible and fun approach to learning. Our curriculum includes planned experiences and opportunities for unplanned learning.

Using emergent curriculum, we focus on children’s unique interests and abilities to help them develop. We have 3 rooms grouped according to age.

Our approach to behaviour guidance

Using a positive approach to behaviour guidance, we focus on understanding everyone’s rights. This helps us be inclusive while making sure everyone feels safe.

We initiate discussion and will respond to any of your concerns. We’ll work with you to develop a behaviour guidance plan if necessary. It’ll outline strategies that we can implement in the centre, and at home to guide behaviour.

Our educators invest in your child

Our qualified educators invest time and energy getting to know each child. They also communicate with you, so we can work towards shared goals.

We also have extra educators who cover:

At Doncaster Maternal and Child Health Centre, we offer free support to families with children. Discover opening hours and how to get there.

If your child is unwell, call your local GP or call 000 (triple zero) if a life-threatening emergency. If you need to speak to a nurse outside our hours, please call the free, 24-hour Maternal and Child Health Line on 13 22 29.

Appointments

Appointment bookings are required.

Early Years at MC Square is a purpose built facility, providing high quality early childhood education and care services.

With only 38 spots, we are able to build strong relationships with every child and family member who use our service.

Our programs offer flexibility and fun

Our play based learning approach values each child’s individual needs, strengths and interests. This allows for opportunities for planned experiences and spontaneous learning.

How much does it cost?

Full week	$653.80
Full day	$132.70
Public holidays	100% of fee.
Absences	100% of fee.
Late collection fee (after 6.00pm)	$50 for every 15 minutes (or part of).

Apply for the childcare subsidy

Your family might be eligible to receive reduced childcare fees via the childcare subsidy.

Visit Centrelink to see if you meet the requirements for government support. If eligible, submit a claim on myGov to get a fee reduction.

Learn about us at orientation

After accepting a place, we recommend an orientation period before your child comes to our centre.

We have 2 free orientation visits. We require parents to stay onsite during orientation. Orientation is an opportunity for you to ask questions and share info about your child with us.

Our opening hours

We operate from 8.00am to 6.00pm, Monday to Friday.

The centre is closed on public holidays and over the Christmas and New Year period.

Choosing the right early childhood education and care service can be difficult. We welcome tours of our service before making a choice. If you need full time or part time childcare for your 3-5 year old, or want to arrange a tour contact us on 9840 9255.
