An opportunity for women and girls to experience flying a remote controlled airplane with guidance from skilled and friendly trainers.
This activity has all the aspects of STEM, engineering, construction skills, aviation principles and hands on experience.
This event is suitable for women and girls of all ages. No previous experience required.
Participants are encouraged to bring their parents, family and friends with them.
What to wear: sunglasses, hat and sunscreen.

The display features key statistics and pathways to support women, girls and non-binary people experiencing gender-based violence.

To help you remove garden waste to prepare for bushfire season, you can drop off either one car boot, station wagon, ute or a 6‘x4’ level trailer load of garden waste on certain dates throughout the year.
You need to live in a Bushfire Prone Area to use this service. We will ask you to show proof of residency (either a driver's licence or rates notice) at the check-in point on the day. If someone else drops off the garden waste for you, make sure you provide them with your proof.

We postpone waste collection in these areas on catastrophic days - this is not the same as a total fire ban day. If this occurs, leave your bins out until they are collected.

As 2023 draws to a close, I want to reach out to those in our community who are experiencing deep pain because of worldwide conflict.
We value and respect the human rights of every member of our community and acknowledge and share the deep hurt many residents are experiencing in the face of world unrest.
People from more than 99 countries live side-by-side in Manningham, and we value a peaceful and inclusive community, as stated in our Community Vision.
We support the wellbeing of all our residents, including people who are currently experiencing challenges due to traumatic events in their homeland, by partnering with local agencies that provide individual and family counselling to support their mental health.
I encourage you to reach out to one of these services if you need to talk through the current world conflict or other hardship matters facing our community.
In the final days of this year, we hold our community in our hearts. We will draw on our values as a welcoming city and inclusive culture to ensure Manningham continues to be a safe place to live.

This year we are partnering with Women's Health East to bring you Grit - a celebration of women.
Women's Health East developed the Margins to Mainstream program late in 2020, and since then have been working to empower women with disability.
Join us to hear from women who have found their voice and learn about what they need to be a part of the community.
This event is part of 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence and International Day of People with Disability.
16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence is a global campaign to challenge violence against women and girls. The campaign runs every year from 25 November on the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, to 10 December Human Rights Day.
International Day of People with Disability is on 3 December and is a United Nations (UN) day observed internationally. It aims to promote community awareness, understanding and acceptance of people with disability.

Proudly supported by our official healthcare partners, Bupa Australia, MatchWorks, and the Australian Sports Commission, these days mark the initial steps in the active journey of an adult living with disability.
This event aims to motivate and enable participants to discover local active opportunities within a fun, safe, and inclusive environment.
Participants will have the opportunity to experience a variety of sport and active recreation activities on the day.
With over 70 stallholders, discover handmade wares and produce, enjoy local buskers and have a family day in beautiful surrounds.
