Playhouse Pantomimes are pulling some strings for their original musical
adaptation of the classic tale of ‘Pinocchio these school holidays.
Originally created by Carlo Collodi in 1883, their version tells the story of a puppet boy in
Italy with songs, audience participation and laughs for the whole family.

Wurundjeri Woi-wurrong elders, in collaboration with Manningham Council, are hosting a meaningful, reflective, and respectful event in a demonstration of togetherness on 26 January.
Hosted at MC Square, this event will be free and feature story-telling, music and art. It is open to everyone who would like to attend.
Meet at Mullum Mullum Stadium reception for a relaxed social walk along the scenic Mullum Mullum Trail with Active Manningham.
This 30 minutes to 1-hour walk is a great way to connect with others and enjoy the outdoors. After the walk, enjoy a free coffee and chat.
If the weather isn't suitable, an indoor alternative will be offered.

Beau Miles
Beau is a father, YouTuber, author of The Backyard Adventurer, wannabe farmer and maker of stuff from other people's junk. Known for oddball storytelling that aims to turn seemingly mundane or silly ideas into things that are enjoyable, challenging and insightful. Beau is known for his ‘Backyard Adventurer’ philosophy of connecting people with their local heritage, history and environment.
Cezary Carmichael (Two Birders Two Bikes One School)
Cezary is a 19-year-old filmmaker and student who recently completed a year-long journey on his bike around Australia to fund the development of a school in Timor-Leste (raising more than $120,000). His upcoming documentary will explore the cultural and ecological significance of birds in Australia and the importance of storytelling and communication in fostering community.

Their bold and reckless behaviour turns the young lovers' thrilling adventure into a downward spiral, putting themselves and their loved ones in trouble with the law. Forced to stay on the run, the lovers resort to robbery and murder to survive. As the infamous duo's fame grows bigger, their inevitable end draws nearer.

Pages of Me is a new multimedia project by Beci Orpin, exploring the journey of finding happiness through individuality and embracing one's unique self.
Drawing from her textile-focused background, Orpin delves into mascot culture, crafting a larger-than-life mascot set within a large textile structure. The textiles will feature oversized pages from her sketchbook, blending bold patterns, random imagery, and messages of realistic optimism.
In addition to celebrating positive individualism, the work touches on themes of future nostalgia, luck (both good and bad), and femininity. Together, these elements create a visual representation of Orpin's metaphysical self—both weird and wonderful.
The exhibition will also invite viewers to get involved, encouraging them to create their own mascots based on the qualities they appreciate about themselves, fostering pride in their identity.

The Grand Family Funday is an event for all age groups.
It will include fun bowls activities for all the family to enjoy together. Other activities will include a free sausage sizzle, fairy floss, popcorn and tea and coffee.
It is a being held on National Grandparents' Day and is a free event, open to everyone.

Taking its name from the unofficial description of the present day epoch which has seen human activity dramatically impact the earth's climate and ecology, this exhibition is the expression of four artists' efforts to record, reflect upon and potentially enact change in how humanity views and interacts with the world.
Shifting the Anthropocene features the work of Lesley Duxbury, Ruth Johnstone, Rosie Weiss and Stephen Wickham, who have variously photographed underwater ecosystems and stunning 400 year old eucalypts, and collected and drawn remnants of plants destroyed by bushfire, amongst other creative acts.
The works are descriptions of the immediate and personal effects of climate change as the artists have witnessed them. They also pivot to celebrate instances where individuals and communities have saved endangered species or enacted changes in environment laws through collective effort, thereby giving a hopeful and positive tenor to the exhibition overall.
