First EV charger location confirmed: Bulleen Car Park

We’re excited to announce the first public electric vehicle (EV) charger location: Bulleen Car Park. ...

Article Content

UPDATED: Public electric vehicle (EV) charger location updated on Tuesday 6 May to reflect revised project timelines.

We’re excited to announce the first public electric vehicle (EV) charger location: Bulleen Car Park.

About the charger

Planned for installation in June 2025, this charging station is part of a broader rollout of nine public EV chargers across Manningham.

Powered by renewable energy, this Jolt fast charger is compatible with all EVs. It will provide 7 kWh of free daily charge (up to 50 km of range), with additional charge ranging from 54 to 59 cents per kWh, depending on the location.

There will be one charger, servicing two parking bays.

Following engagement with the local businesses, this location was selected for its proximity to commercial, recreational and tourist destinations, as well as its access to reliable power supplies.

Why we’re supporting EVs

By installing these charging stations – and the six more to follow – we aim to accommodate the growing use of electric vehicles, especially following new legislated vehicle standards.

We’re also responding to community support for local public charging facilities, as revealed in our 2023 Manningham community survey.

The public charging network will help ensure that EV charging is accessible and practical while also reducing our transport emissions, boosting local businesses with enhanced car parking, and supporting EV drivers to travel with confidence.

The Men's Table Entree Introduction Evening
… a meal and a drink. This event is proudly supported by Manningham's Community Grants Program . About the Men's Table …

The Men’s Table creates a unique environment for men to share openly about their lives with other men.

The Entree event is an introduction to The Men’s Table through open sharing over a relaxed and conversational meal.

It is a chance to meet other men, learn about how a Table works and help you decide whether you'd like to part of this local Men’s Table group.

The event will be hosted by two long standing members of other Men's Tables. They will share experiences from their Tables and respond to your questions, concerns and ideas.

The cost of the event includes a meal and a drink.

This event is proudly supported by Manningham's Community Grants Program.

About the Men's Table

There's never been a better time to get connected and be part of building community. It's healthy to show emotions and share feelings, and it is time we freed men from outdated masculine norms.

The Men’s Table creates a sense of belonging, community, peer support and camaraderie. These things are often lacking for many men, even for those who already have a group of mates.

Belonging to a Men’s Table contributes to mental, emotional and social wellbeing. It provides powerful support to individual member’s journeys through life.

Eurobeat: Moldova
… not suitable for all audiences. Doncaster Playhouse Arts Manningham Doncaster Playhouse Whats On … Eurobeat: Moldova …

Welcome to the small Eastern European country of Moldova. Despite being one of the smallest (and poorest) former Soviet states, this proud nation has defied the Global Financial Crisis, the iron fist of its former sovereign country and indeed all common sense by staging this year's Eurovision Song Contest.

This evening's show is hosted by the glamorous but fearsome former KGB agent turned lifestyle presenter Katya Kokov and the frothy pop star Nikolae Nikovsky (winner of Moldova's Got Talent three year's running). Together they steer you through the political and musical minefield that is this year's competition which features your favourite European nations such as the United Kingdom, Sweden and Ireland as well as unexpected finalists Morocco and the eagerly anticipated first ever entry from the Vatican City.

Watch and wonder as ten nations fight it out for the ultimate prize and marvel at the entertainment spectacular that the host nation has created for your entertainment. Who wins? Well, you decide as with every performance it is the votes of the live audience that determines who walks away showered in glitter and glory."

This show contains adult themes and sexual references and is not suitable for all audiences.

High School Musical Jr
… by: Wendy Samantha Productions   Doncaster Playhouse Arts Manningham Doncaster Playhouse Whats On … High School Musical …

The Disney Channel's smash hit movie musical comes to life on stage in Disney’s High School Musical JR. Troy, Gabriella and the students of East High must deal with issues of love, friends and family while balancing their classes and extra-curricular activities.

It’s the first day after winter break at East High. The Jocks, Brainiacs, Thespians and Skater Dudes all find their cliques. Basketball team captain and resident jock, Troy, discovers that the brainy Gabriella, a girl he met singing karaoke on his ski trip, has just enrolled at East High. The couple causes an upheaval when they decide to audition for the high school musical. Although many students resent the threat posed to the "status quo," Troy and Gabriella’s alliance might just open the door for others to shine as well.

The show’s infectious and danceable songs are sure to engage performers and audiences alike. This production promotes engagement and encourages the audience clap along and even sing along to the songs they know; it will be a fun filled performance for all to enjoy!

Templestowe Route upgrade public consultation session
… help to improve the Templestowe Route by visiting Your Say Manningham.   Can’t make the session? Complete our online …

Provide feedback on the improvements proposed as part of the Templestowe Route Upgrade.

The upgrade, between Templestowe Road and Williamson Road (1.8 km), will enhance safety, pedestrian connectivity, and infrastructure quality.

In addition to road, footpath and drainage enhancements, we're proposing:

  • two new roundabouts at the intersections of Atkinson and Milne streets. The roundabouts aim to prevent speeding, improve traffic flow and highlight the entrance to the Templestowe Village shops.
  • To advocate for a reduced speed limit of 40km per hour between the roundabouts, to boost pedestrian and road safety.
  • To advocate for a reduced speed limit to 50km/hour on the route. This will apply from Union Street to the Milne Road roundabout, and from Atkinson Street roundabout to Porter Street. It excludes areas where a 40km/hour speed limit has been proposed.
  • To install pedestrian-operated signals at the intersection of Wood and Anderson streets so community members can access the shops more safely.

Drop in at this public consultation session, where you'll have the opportunity to:

  • chat to our officers about the project
  • review the proposed plans
  • provide your feedback about the proposed changes

You can follow the project, have your say and help to improve the Templestowe Route by visiting Your Say Manningham.

Can’t make the session? Complete our online survey by Wednesday 29 November.
