Park Orchards Reserve is 1.6 hectares and provides a range of community and sporting facilities, including a one court indoor stadium, community house, tennis courts and a playspace installed in 2010. ...
Park Orchards Reserve is 1.6 hectares and provides a range of community and sporting facilities, including a one court indoor stadium, community house, tennis courts and a playspace installed in 2010.
The reserve is on Crown Land but managed by Manningham Council as Committee of Management. The stadium is also located on Crown Land which forms part of Manningham’s open space network and there is a joint usage agreement between the Education Department and Council that enables both school and community usage.
The reserve is well developed and a central hub to the Park Orchards residential community. It is in close proximity to the local Maternal and Child Health Centre, pre-school, primary school and local shopping centre.
Given its high level of use, the reserve needs to remain accessible to local residents by foot, bicycle or bus.

How much does it cost?
We have a pricing structure to suit your needs. Bookings during the week are for a minimum of 2 hours, 4 hours during the weekend.
If you book more than 10 times during a year, you are eligible for the regular hirer rate.

The new challenge path between the Ruffey Lake Circuit and Hill Tops Circuit, in the eastern end of the park, called the Steps Trail is now open to test you. There are 115 rock steps, several resting and lookout landings with great views. Come and check it out.

We have three kid-friendly picnic areas which have all the facilities you'll need. Our picnic shelters and barbecues are popular - so it's a 'first come, first serve' basis, with sharing encouraged.

Dogs are welcome at Ruffey Lake Park and there are off lead and on lead areas for you and your furry friend.
There are also some areas in the park fenced for revegetation where dogs are not allowed so that we can keep the park beautiful.

Powerful Owl Park is a new sporting and recreation facility in Manningham's Open Space Network. The Reserve contains three soccer fields, a sports pavilion, spectator area, small nature play area, toilets, BBQ and a short walking path around the site.
Powerful Owl Park has an outlook towards the Yarra River and borders Parks Victoria land to the north. It has a large prominent gumtree near the entrance, leading to onsite carparking and a sports pavilion with public amenity.
The Reserve is situated along Templestowe Road close to Birrarrung Park, the local bus network and nearby housing.

How to apply
Complete the online application or download and complete the Request for Memorial Plaque and Donation of Park Furniture or Tree.
Read the Memorial plaques and public donation of park furniture or trees policy before you apply.
What happens next?
- Once we have received your application we will contact you to advise if it has been approved. We will also need to approve the wording of the plaque.
- We will provide you with specifications for your plaque. The text should fit within the plaque dimensions (100mm x 50mm).
- If your application is approved you will be invoiced for the cost of the furniture or tree.
- We will place an order once we receive full payment from you. Orders cannot be placed without full payment.
- Furniture delivery and installation can take up to three months.
- Tree planting will be subject to availability and suitable seasonal conditions.
- The applicant is responsible for the purchase of the plaque and delivery to council.

The Victoria League makes up one part of the YMCA's national pathway program that comprises of leagues in QLD, SA, NT, WA and NSW. The Doncaster round is part of an interconnected series of skate park events that will be held across Vic and will feature scooter, BMX and skateboard competitions.
The series is a great opportunity for both seasoned riders and young new skaters to get involved. People can compete to be crowned the winner of Melbourne Metro Series, while those still finding their feet get the opportunity to have a go, improve their skills, interact with the pros and win some fun prizes. SPL gives the community the opportunity to get involved and cheer on their own.

There are two different walking routes. From these, there are eight walks to choose from, with each focusing on a different aspect of the reserve, including:
