Hosted by CASS and proudly funded by Manningham City Council’s Healthy Ageing Grants, this series of free health and wellness workshops is specially designed for seniors from a Chinese-speaking background living in the Manningham Council area.

These sessions focus on holistic wellbeing for both body and mind, and are delivered by qualified professionals and experienced practitioners.

Join Active Manningham and SALT for an empowering Allies of Change session.

This workshop invites men aged 18 plus to become active allies in ending violence against women by stepping up, taking responsibility, and leading positive change. It focuses on education, motivation, and peer support to help build respectful club cultures.

Where and when: Online, Wednesday 3 December 2025

Time: 7:00pm to 8:15pm

This session is specifically designed for men aged 18 and over who are involved in sporting clubs; including players, coaches, volunteers, committee members, and parents.

This session is funded through the Manningham Small Grants Program as part of the 16 Days of Activism initiative.

This fun, hands-on session is designed to improve your confidence by the river.

Join Life Saving Victoria's expert instructors on the banks of the Birrarung (Yarra River) to:

• Learn how to spot hidden dangers in the water and understand how currents work.
• Practise real-life safety skills and basic rescue steps, like using life jackets.
• Discover how to care for our rivers and enjoy them responsibly.

Please note:

• The session does not involve entering the water.
• Registrations are essential. All ages are welcome, under 18s must be accompanied by an adult.
• Wear comfortable clothing, a hat, sunscreen and closed-toed shoes, and bring a drink bottle.

Wondering what to do in the school holidays? Fed up playing the same old thing?

Come along to Bulleen Library and swap your pre-loved games. We will also have some simple traditional games for you to stop and try.

Come on down to the Doncaster Playhouse over the September/October school holidays for Playhouse Pantomimes’ original musical adaptation of Jack and the Beanstalk. 

There will be songs, audience participation and lots of laughs for the whole family.

Join us for an inspiring and informative session dedicated to your heart health, hosted by Austin Health. Hear from leading cardiologists Dr. Matias Yudi and Dr. Julian Yeoh as they share practical tips and expert insights on keeping your heart healthy.

Dr Matias and Dr Julian are both leading cardiologists and have the gift for explaining all about heart health in an easy-to-understand way. They are keen to promote heart health in our community. Dr Julian has previously presented at the Bulleen Men’s Shed and the Women’s Circle at the Veneto Club and the feedback was overwhelmingly positive. 

This is an open event for all the community, regardless of your postcode.

Come alone, come with your partner, come with your parents, come with your friends - this is an event which will empower you to look after your heart.

There will be an opportunity to ask questions, and informally network at the conclusion of the event, when we serve some light refreshments.

There is an afternoon session commencing at 2.30pm, and a repeat evening session that starts at 7pm.

Phones are a huge part of our world. The kids of today are growing up having information at their fingertips, content on call, and the pressure of unfiltered social issues streaming 24/7.

Caroline Ellen from Safer Stronger Kids is a parenting coach who will help you understand the what, how, and why kids today are so susceptible to the addictive cycle of content. 

Come along and be equipped to walk with your child through the highs and lows and help them build healthy habits around screens.

This event can be attended in-person or online. 

Disc Golf is a fun recreational activity for everyone!

The aim of the game is to throw your disc (similar to a frisbee) from the tee pad into the basket in the least number of throws.

At this come and try session members of the Melbourne Disc Golf Club will show you how to hold, throw and putt. Once you've got the hang of how it all works, you'll have the chance to play on the brand new, recently updated course.

No prior experience is required for this event. This event is suitable for families, all ages, all genders and all abilities.

The Manningham Junior Ranger Program is designed to get young environmentalists out and active in our local environment.

Go on a bush park discovery walk with Environment Officers as they explore why Currawong Bush Park is known as the best little wilderness in town.

Survive a live wildlife show presented by Wild Action, the Zoo that comes to you.

Experience nature as a place to play, imagine, relax and explore.

Important information:

• Children must be supervised by a parent or guardian at all times. Please arrive 10 minutes prior to start time.
• Come prepared and dress for the weather on the day. Please wear closed-toed footwear.
• Don’t forget to bring a snack and water bottle for morning tea.
• In the event of extreme weather, this event will be cancelled.
• Currawong Bush Park is protected habitat, dogs are not permitted in the park at any time.

A celebration of the birth of Jesus through carols, prayers, and readings. A light, festive supper with non-alcoholic sparkling drinks will follow the service.
