The Centre is purpose built to accommodate a wide variety of functions such as conferences, wedding receptions, cocktail parties, trade shows and community events.
The main function room can seat up to 400 people for a dinner dance. It can be separated into smaller rooms for the more intimate occasion, or can seat 450 people theatre style.
The Function Centre has a selection of caterers with varying cuisines and menus to choose from, and offers a variety of hire packages.
Equipped with state of the art technology to manage the most professional presentation, the Function Centre can readily host conferences and executive seminars.

Building on the information shared in the Community Grant Information Session and Grant Writing Workshop, this is your opportunity to ask questions about your grant proposal and receive constructive, unbiased feedback.
During the session, you’ll have a chance to discuss your ideas in a 1:1 conversation with a staff member from the Healthy Ageing Team. Our team will also emphasize the importance of aligning your proposal with our Healthy Ageing objectives.

River Rambles are relaxed, social paddling experiences designed for women and girls aged 16 and over.
These events offer a welcoming opportunity to enjoy time on the water in a safe, supportive, and friendly environment, guided by qualified Ramble Leaders.
No experience necessary. Wear something comfortable that you’re okay with getting a little damp.
This paddle will begin at Westerfolds park and continue to Sweeneys Lane where participants will then hope out of the river and be driven back to Westerfolds park.
If the weather turns chilly, Paddle Victoria has you covered, they will provide quality thermals and a spray jacket to help keep you warm. A bit of splashing, wet feet, and a damp seat are all part of the fun!
These sessions are being delivered in partnership with Manningham Council and Paddle Victoria as part of the Birrarung Riverfest 2025. Celebrate our river at one of 60+ events hosted over three weeks from 6–28 September. Whether you enjoy riverside walks, cleanups, creative workshops or paddling adventures, there's something for everyone at Riverfest. Join us for an inspiring and informative session dedicated to your heart health, hosted by Austin Health. Hear from leading cardiologists Dr. Matias Yudi and Dr. Julian Yeoh as they share practical tips and expert insights on keeping your heart healthy.
Dr Matias and Dr Julian are both leading cardiologists and have the gift for explaining all about heart health in an easy-to-understand way. They are keen to promote heart health in our community. Dr Julian has previously presented at the Bulleen Men’s Shed and the Women’s Circle at the Veneto Club and the feedback was overwhelmingly positive.

Join us for an exclusive after-hours event at Manningham Art Gallery to celebrate our two latest exhibitions.
Painted Country
Featuring the works of five First Nations Artists – Nellie Ngampa Coulthard, Brenda Napaltjarri, Clara Napurrula, Rene Sundown and Adrian Jurra Tjungurrayi. Drawing upon their rich artistic, cultural, and ancestral knowledge, each artist paints unique depictions of Country, refracted through memory and lived experience. With special thanks to the Artists; Iwantja Arts, South Australia; Papunya Tula Artists, Northern Territory; and Alcaston Gallery, Melbourne, who partnered with Manningham Art Gallery to curate this major exhibition.
Beyond the Table: The Dinner Party Reimagined
An interactive reimagining of a traditional dinner party by Manningham artists Isobel Goodman and Jade Piltz, with a nod to 1970s nostalgia and celebrating one of the key gathering spaces in our homes, the humble dining table. The installation is a part of Melbourne Design Week, Australia's premier design festival featuring events across Melbourne and regional Victoria.
Drop in between 5.00pm and 8.00pm, with Manningham Mayor, Cr Deirdre Diamante, formally opening the evening at 5.30pm. Enjoy delicious snacks and refreshments. No bookings required. This is a free public event.
