Native bees and butterflies are great pollinators and beautiful additions to any garden. There are many things you can do to attract them for a visit – and to even reside in your garden.
This webinar/workshop will introduce you to the wonderful world of native bees and butterflies, their role in nature as pollinators and as an important player in the food web. This is all in addition to the splash of colour, movement and beauty they bring to a garden.

This series of workshops by Sustainable Gardening Australia aims to give you the skills and knowledge to plan and build a wildlife friendly garden at home. All seminars are at Currawong Bush Park Conference Centre, Reynolds Road Doncaster East. Supper is at 6.45pm and the seminar begins at 7pm sharp.
Join the Astronomical Society of Victoria (ASV) at a stargazing evening at Westerfolds Park, Templestowe. ASV astronomers will be on hand with telescopes and demonstrators.
Telescopes will be set up on the grassy field near the Parks Victoria Office.
What to bring
Bring a torch covered with red cellophane (to keep your night vision), mosquito repellent and warm clothes. Expect evening dew and a cold evening. Children will especially appreciate warm footwear and snacks.

Join permaculture and sustainability educator, Anna The Urban Nanna, to learn about simple, effective ways to lower your environmental impact by using basic mending skills to repair clothes and break up with Fast Fashion.
This free hands-on workshop will take you through the most useful basic mending skills, and help you understand how each one can be put to use in modern wardrobes. You will follow step-by-step instructions to learn several methods of mending, including sashiko, boro and patching, and begin working on your own mending patch to take home. Includes a follow-up list of useful resources and links to many videos showing you how to do each type of mend, step-by-step.

The annual Lions Club Car Rally is a fun-filled day for the whole community.
The Car Rally will be departing from Domeney Reserve in Park Orchards. Cars will be released in 1-minute intervals from 9.00am. We request participants to be at the Domeney Car park by that time.
