Let's Crochet Together offers senior residents of Manningham an enjoyable and practical crochet session, with a special focus on those from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds.

Participants will not only acquire basic crochet skills, but also have the opportunity to build new community connections. 

Refreshments will be provided, and each participant will receive a complimentary crochet kit. 

Please note: this event will be conducted in Cantonese.

This event is free of charge for older adults aged 65 and above from Manningham. Spots are limited and fill up quickly, registrations essential.

Join us for this free hike following the Yarra River downstream through one of the most remote and least accessible parts of the Warrandyte Gorge. This walk involves a creek crossing and off track walking, but the reward is well worthwhile. 

  • Distance: 8km
  • Time: 5 hours
  • Rating: Difficult - some sections of steep, narrow and rocky foot tracks and terrain 

What to bring:  enough water for the duration of the walk, lunch and snacks. Wear sturdy shoes and weather appropriate clothing. 

This walk involves a car shuttle from the meeting point to the start of the walk, as the walk is one way. 

The meeting point in Warrandyte will be advised on registration.

Storytime sessions support literacy development, social skills and group learning, all while exploring health and wellbeing themes.

Who: For children aged one to five years.

When: Every third Thursday of the month at The Pines Library.

Cost: Sessions are free to attend, and no registrations or library membership are required.

The Arabic Storytime session is a part of the Government Multicultural Storytime grant which will help our local libraries deliver Storytime programs for babies and young children in Arabic and Italian in Manningham.

Sign up for this free 3x3 basketball competition....

In collaboration with Active Manningham and Manningham Youth Services, Mullum Mullum Stadium will host the Manningham All Stars basketball competition.

Participants can enter as a team or an individual to compete in a 3-on-3 basketball tournament.

Competitions will be split by age and gender:

  • boys - 12 to 14 years
  • girls - 12 to 14 years
  • boys - 15 to 17 years
  • girls - 15 to 17 years
  • mixed - 18 plus years

Other competitions on the day include:

  • 3-point competition
  • trick-shot competitions 

Entry is free but registrations are required.

We encourage mums or anyone who wants to enjoying keeping active in a fun social environment to come and join us.

Manningham United typically runs a weekly Soccer Mums program. The program is overseen by Natalie one of our board members and coached by Penny and Mel. Each week up to 50 mums get together to have fun, socialise and participate in some soccer basics to some pumping music!

There is no skill requirement, all you need is runners, a drink bottle and an appetite for fun.

Learn about our local wattles on this iconic walk through Warrandyte’s once thriving goldfields, now a haven for wildlife and wildflowers.

This is a circular walk that starts and finishes at the same location. A difficult 5.5km circuit with some very steep and slippery sections.

Wear solid walking shoes, weather appropriate clothing, a hat and sunscreen.

Participants must provide a mobile number.

Location will be given upon registration.

This event is part our Manningham Spring Outdoors Series, where we offer a range of fun outdoor activities across Manningham.
