Bulleen Cricket Club is excited to host a Women’s Come and Try Evening, inviting female cricketers aged 12 and older, of all abilities and experience levels, to get involved in our welcoming and supportive community. 

The session will be a fun and relaxed introduction to cricket, offering participants the chance to learn new skills, meet new people, and experience the enjoyment of being part of a team.

Qualified coaches and current players will run engaging activities designed for beginners as well as those with some cricket experience. All equipment will be provided, and participants simply need to bring their enthusiasm. The evening is a fantastic opportunity for women and girls to connect, stay active, and see what community cricket at Bulleen is all about.

We encourage anyone interested in trying cricket, returning to the game, or simply seeking a new way to get active and meet people to come along. Everyone is welcome, and no prior experience is necessary.

Through the Maternal and Child Health Sleep and Settling initiative, we are providing support for parents experiencing sleep and settling concerns with their young children.

During this online session, consultants will teach you an evidence-informed sleep and settling model of care.

• Normal sleep patterns
• Ways to deal with sleep difficulties
• Information about your wellbeing.

There will be time at the end of the session for you to ask questions about your specific situation.

In addition to the sessions, we are proud to provide an outreach service for interested parents. Speak to our Sleep and Settling Specialist at the end of the session for more information.

This session is designed specifically for parents of toddlers aged between 18 and 24 months.

Sessions are also available for newborns and older babies.

Hosted by CASS and proudly funded by Manningham City Council’s Healthy Ageing Grants, this series of free health and wellness workshops is specially designed for seniors from a Chinese-speaking background living in the Manningham Council area.

These sessions focus on holistic wellbeing for both body and mind, and are delivered by qualified professionals and experienced practitioners.

Nadia is passionate about creating inclusive sporting environments for all, in particular girls and women. Originally from Adelaide, Nadia moved to Melbourne to undertake her PhD at Monash University after working on a gender equality in sport and recreation project in regional Victoria.

Carers Saturday cuppa and chat is a chance for all people who are currently caring for people with disability and mental health to reconnect and find support over a free cuppa.

The session will be facilitated by Dr Nakisa Malakooti.  Dr Malakooti is a carer and a neuroscientist and has lived at Manningham for the last 27 years. She is a strong advocate for carers, disability, mental health and those with dementia.

To celebrate Manningham Girls Can, come and enjoy this pram-friendly walk, led by Parks Victoria rangers at Birrarrung Park. Nestled at the confluence of the Plenty and Yarra rivers, Birrarrung Park’s 2.8km loop trail provides a sealed, flat surface ideal for prams, mobility aids, or anyone seeking an easy walk. For all ages and abilities.

This is a great opportunity for mums and/or grandmothers to get out and enjoy a walk in nature. Learn more about this beautiful urban oasis and chat with the rangers about their diverse roles.

The walk will start at the picnic shelter.

Join staff from Aquarena for a session specifically tailored for older adults or those looking to get back into fitness in a gentle, supportive environment.

Sessions will focus on stretching, strength and balance, using the equipment at Cricklewood Drive Exercise Station.

Sessions run for 45 minutes and are suitable for people of all genders aged 50 years and over.

No experience needed and all fitness levels welcome.
