Work on the basics of composition, colour and tone to find your own style with experienced tutor, Clare Mannion. Each term Clare guides artists through the basic principles of creating artwork and is on hand to provide guidance and direction.

We’re temporarily closing the Aranga Reserve dog park to prune trees that are extending onto Heatherwood School’s grounds.
The park will be closed from Monday 6 January to Tuesday 7 January 2025.
Significant tree limbs are extending onto the grounds of Heatherwood School.
We’re temporarily closing the park to prune these trees, which will help prevent any pontential hazards and keep our community safe.
By closing the park, we’re also avoiding startling your dog with loud machinery.
If you live nearby, you may notice construction noise during this period.
If you regularly visit this park with your dog, we encourage you to explore our nearby parks and reserves during these days.

Manningham United is running a free come and try Soccer Mum’s program for This Girl Can week.
We encourage mums or anyone who wants to enjoying keeping active in a fun social environment to come and join us.
Manningham United typically runs a weekly Soccer Mums program. The program is overseen by Natalie one of our board members and coached by Penny and Mel. Each week up to 50 mums get together to have fun, socialise and participate in some soccer basics to some pumping music!
There is no skill requirement, all you need is runners, a drink bottle and an appetite for fun.

Warrandyte Cricket Club is a friendly, welcoming cricket club, with a strong women and girls' program.

Victoria Street playground in Ruffey Lake Park has reopened after its major update.
We welcomed residents to celebrate its reopening with free ice-creams, fresh fruit and family fun on Sunday 24 November 2024.
Children joined in the excitement with an activity hunt to explore the playground.

GO Soccer Mums is an introductory football program designed specifically for women, where participants can have fun, meet new people, and learn basic football skills in a social, judgement-free environment!
This summer break we are offering a free multi-week program for you to try the program for the first time or return to keep up your skills and maintain your psychical activity level in the off season.
Many participants may be busy with children on school holidays so we are also offering a free football clinic for kids!
This will run parallel to or GO Soccer Mums session for boys and girls aged five years to 12 years old.
BMX is a family-friendly sport - not to mention exhilarating, and addictive It's the perfect sport for women and girls.
Our come-and-try BMX day is part of This Girl Can week and will feature accredited coaches to help guide you through the basics of BMX riding.
Women and Girls of all ages are encouraged to come along and give BMX ago!
Terms & Conditions
- Participants must wear long-sleeved pants and top (no lycra).
- Bring your BMX, dirt jumper, or mountain bike - we have some bikes available to loan.
- Wear a full-face helmet. We have some available for loan.
- Long-fingered gloves.
We have some equipment available for loan, on a first-in, first-served basis.
One of Australia’s most important national occasions, ANZAC Day goes beyond the anniversary of the landing at Gallipoli in 1915. It is the day in which we remember all Australians who served and died in all wars and operational service past and present. Come along and mark the day at one of the RSL services in Manningham.
Prior to the ANZAC service a march will commence at the Templestowe Hotel car park.
Templestowe RSL will hold an ANZAC service followed by a Gunfire Breakfast at the clubhouse at the conclusion of the service.
Come along to our coffee and friendship sessions, which are perfect for both long-time and new residents. No matter how long you have been living in the area, our friendly volunteer will greet you and make you feel welcome.
