Harris Gully Reserve is a small linear park alongside Harris Gully Road that is a tributary of Andersons Creek. It contains remnant vegetation and its main functions are conservation and drainage.
A concept plan included recommendations for weed management, revegetation and new fencing.
Local residents have been encouraging natural regeneration and undertaking weed management for nearly 30 years. The reserve has an informal path beside Harris Gully Road that provides safe pedestrian access to students of Andersons Creek Primary School and is part of the horse route along Harris Gully Road connecting Reynolds Road to Gold Memorial Road.

Works will include:
The footpath will be built on the eastern side of Carbine Street, between Butterfly Gardens and Leslie Street in Donvale.
The project schedule will be confirmed after the contractor is engaged.

Improving the quality of our roads and stormwater drainage systems are some of the ways we’re building a better Manningham.
We're upgrading Oban Road in Ringwood North and Donvale to improve road and footpath safety and reduce flood risk.
This project will be delivered in two stages.
Stage one
Construction will occur along Oban Road, between property 321 and the Glenvale Road intersection, Ringwood North.
Stage two
Construction will occur along Oban Road, between Glenvale Road and Smedley Road, Donvale.
This project will be delivered under our 2024/25 Capital Works Program.
These works will deliver significant safety and environmental benefits.
Improvements include resurfacing the road to reduce potholes, rutting, and cracking, ensuring smoother and safer travel. Widening certain sections will provide sufficient space for vehicles to pass safely, minimising the risk of accidents.
Installing underground drainage will effectively manage stormwater, reduce flood risks, and prevent road damage. Additionally, removing weeds will promote native biodiversity by controlling invasive species and supporting the local ecosystem.
These schedules are subject to weather conditions and third party approvals.
Works will occur between 7.00am and 5.00pm on weekdays and 9.00am and 3.00pm on Saturdays.
During these times, you may notice:
Please follow the directions of staff and signs to move safely around the area.
We appreciate your patience and understanding while we work to improve the drainage in your area.

Penderel Reserve is a large reserve linking Penderel Court, Bessa Court and Jumping Creek Road.
The reserve is valued for its ecology, remnant vegetation and significant recreational opportunities due to its size and road connections. The western end of the reserve is within the Clifford Park/ Bend of Isles Biosite 2 and is considered a very high priority in Council’s Healthy Habitats Bushland Management Strategy 2012. The open space and bushland area at the Penderel Court end is suitable for unstructured bush play activities.
