Our chatty café volunteer will ensure the conversations are interesting and stimulating.

Manningham residents are invited to a free two-hour workshop on equality, inclusion and respect presented by Intertwine. 

Whether you're supporting young people who are queer, trans, neurodivergent, disabled, racialised or any combination of the above, we would love to see you.

Suitable for parents or guardians, educators, school wellbeing staff, service providers and interested community members.

The workshop will feature interactive activities, colourful slides and lots of time for Q and A.

Artlinks is a creative art group which meets weekly at the Seniors Citizens Centre in Warrandyte.

The program is about getting together, meeting new people, whilst enjoying art and craft projects. No art skill required!

Bring your own project to work on, or be guided through a group activity.

Celebrate the Moon Festival 2024 in Manningham through a diverse array of cultural foods and activities. 

Come and enjoy  games, riddles, face painting, balloon modelling, lantern workshops and mooncake DIY workshops. There will also be an evening performance and lantern show. 

Immerse yourself in the vibrant culture of Hong Kong by carrying a lantern and savoring a bite of  delicious mooncake. 

This full day community-led festival is presented by Victoria HongKongers Association and supported by Manningham Council's Community Grant Program.

It takes a village to raise a child, and the role of a grandparent is more important than ever.

Join our free seminar on grandparenting with special guest speaker, Dr Michael Carr-Gregg at the Manningham Function Centre on Wednesday 14 May 2025.

This seminar will provide practical advice and tips about grandparenting and there will be an opportunity to ask questions at the end. This event is suitable grandparents, parents and carers.

Free, but registrations essential.

Dr Michael Carr-Gregg

Dr Carr-Gregg is a distinguished Australian psychologist, author, and broadcaster, renowned for his expertise in adolescent and family psychology. He has authored 18 books on topics including parenting, mental health, and adolescent wellbeing, including Grandparents and the Grandparenting Code. His 19th book is currently in progress. 

In 1985, Dr Carr-Gregg co-founded CanTeen, the world's first national support group for teenage cancer patients, alongside a group of young cancer patients. He has held significant roles in academia and research, including serving as an Associate Professor in the Department of Paediatrics at the University of Melbourne. In 2018, he led the enquiry for the NSW Government that led to the nationwide ban on mobile phones in state and territory schools.

We can all participate in the movement to minimise waste.

To celebrate Plastic Free July, we'll be popping up at our local activity centres to chat with visitors about how we can all continue reducing our waste and in particular, single-use plastics.
