Manningham Concert Band is presenting our 2023 Gala Concert, in our 49th year, and it is truly out of this world.

Our Gala theme this year is Beyond Our Earth - because who really knows how many other Earth's exist?

No space themed concert would be complete without contributions from the absolute masters, Gustav Holst and John Williams.

Also featured will be other well-known composers that you may not realise composed 'space' music, including:

• Richard Rodgers
• Johann Strauss
• John Philip Sousa

On-street parking is available. Limited off-street parking is available. 

If arriving by bus, take the 902 and get off at the Doncaster Rd/Church Rd stop. From there it is a short two minute walk to the venue.

Who said you shouldn’t enjoy Christmas music all year round? No one we know!

It’s not all Christmas though, we've also included a variety of many other enjoyable pieces. After the world premiere of Iron Horse at our 50th Gala last year, we're including another young Australian’s original composition.

We're also very proud to have a fantastic guest soloist on Cor Anglais performing two pieces with us. This is a very difficult instrument to play and having heard some of her recordings, we know you’ll be impressed.

Celebrate the Moon Festival 2024 in Manningham through a diverse array of cultural foods and activities. 

Come and enjoy  games, riddles, face painting, balloon modelling, lantern workshops and mooncake DIY workshops. There will also be an evening performance and lantern show. 

Immerse yourself in the vibrant culture of Hong Kong by carrying a lantern and savoring a bite of  delicious mooncake. 

This full day community-led festival is presented by Victoria HongKongers Association and supported by Manningham Council's Community Grant Program.

Come join in the fun at the ever-popular Manningham Family Festival at Finns Reserve - presented by Rotary Manningham City.

This annual community event features kids' attractions like pony rides, a jumping castle, a merry-go-round, and a baby animal farm.

On stage, we celebrate our community’s talent with performances from over 100 local adult and children's entertainers.

There are also 50 community and craft stalls, and a wide selection of food stalls to enjoy.

This day is always fun for all the family, from babies and toddlers to bigger children, teenagers, parents, grandparents and even the dog!

The 2025 Manningham Asian Cultural Festival will feature a fantastic lineup of cultural performances, delicious street food and family friendly activities.

A celebration of culture and community, the event will finish with a fireworks display.

We encourage you to leave your pets at home so they don’t get frightened by the fireworks. If you live in nearby streets, secure your family pets in a safe, comfortable location or consider bringing them into your house during the display. 

The festival is brought to you by the Asian Business Association of Whitehorse (ABAW), organisers of the popular Lunar New Year Festival in Box Hill.

The Manningham Youth Employment Expo is fast approaching and registration is now open.

The expo is an opportunity for young people aged 14 to 24 to embark on a journey of exploring different pathways to employment. 

Navigate different pathways through stalls rich in information on a diverse range of jobs, careers, and industries. Hear first-hand which attributes local employers are looking for. Talk to key industry bodies and training and employment services about current employment pathway opportunities.

Join us in the break-out rooms to hear from a range of presenters who will deliver engaging workshops on:

• essential employability skills
• how to navigate your employment journey
• insider top tips

There will also be panel discussions with speakers who have lived experiences of unique employment journeys.

The Manningham Junior Ranger Program is designed to get young environmentalists out and active in our local environment.

Go on a bush park discovery walk with Environment Officers as they explore why Currawong Bush Park is known as the best little wilderness in town.

Survive a live wildlife show presented by Wild Action, the Zoo that comes to you.

Experience nature as a place to play, imagine, relax and explore.

The annual World Knitting Day event is a great opportunity to come together for those who love knitting and those who would like to learn.

This is a free, three-hour event and includes afternoon tea. 

Wool, needles and patterns will be available for all to use. 

Any donations of wool would be appreciated.

Presented by the Astronomical Society of Victoria (ASV) and Manningham Council,

Join the ASV with a stargazing evening at Westerfolds Park, Templestowe. ASV astronomers will be on hand with telescopes and demonstrators.

Bring a torch covered with red cellophane (to keep your night vision), mosquito repellent and warm clothes. Telescopes will be set up on the grassy field near the Parks Victoria Office. Expect evening dew and a cold evening. Children will especially appreciate warm footwear and snacks!

Please reverse your car into the parking space to reduce headlight shine on exit.

Welcome to the inaugural My Manningham Fun Run Walk, proudly supporting Carenet Food Relief in Manningham.

Our first annual 3km and 6km walk/run will be held on Sunday 13 April, starting at 8:30am.

The course follows the scenic Lake Circuit at Ruffey Lake Park, beginning from the Boulevarde Playground side.

Join us for a morning of fun, fitness, and making a difference in your own backyard.

This is a family event, the whole family is welcome:

• all children must be supervised by an adult guardian
• children under the age of five years do not need to pay a registration fee for the event
• prams are permitted, for safety reasons please ensure you start at the back of the run
• dogs are welcome but must be on a leash.

Love basketball or netball? Grab some mates and head down to DISC for some casual shooting these school holidays.

Lead by Asel Bolotbek of Fiducian Financial Services, this session will assist members and guests in discovering the essential role professional monetary advice plays in creating a sound financial future.

The Manningham Business Network Inc. (MBN) is your local business network that is open to all small and medium businesses in the Manningham area.

The theme of this Business Breakfast focuses on the topic "Closing the Loopholes".

Brad Dodemond of People Partners HR will present a professional, extensive overview of how the Federal Government's new "Closing the Loopholes" bill will change Australia's employment laws, in particular for casual employment, and impact on our workplaces.

The Manningham Business Network Inc. (MBN) is your local business network that is open to all small and medium businesses in the Manningham area.

The Victoria Police Neighbourhood Policing Forum welcomes local services and community members to talk with police about what issues are important in your community.

The forum will explore topics including:

• Current crime trends and crime prevention
• Family violence
• Young people
• Road policing
• Drugs and drug related crime.

The Neighbourhood Policing Forum will be run by a Victoria Police panel and questions will be taken from the audience throughout the event.
