Light up the Night, the Persian Fire Festival, is one of the most joyful and vibrant Iranian traditions, held in the lead-up to Nowruz (Persian New Year). 

This free community event will feature lively music, dance performances, delicious Persian and non-Persian food stalls, children’s activities, and the symbolic fire-jumping ritual (carried out safely under supervision). 

It is a unique opportunity for people of all ages and backgrounds to come together, experience Iranian culture, and enjoy a festive, family-friendly evening filled with warmth, light, and a sense of community spirit. 

Playhouse Pantomimes is proud to present their original musical adaptation of Kenneth Grahame's ‘The Wind in the Willows’ at the Doncaster Playhouse this Sep/Oct school holidays. Come join Ratty, Mole, Badger and Mr. Toad on their exciting adventures along the river! Featuring singing, dancing, comedy, puppetry, and plenty of audience interaction, ‘The Wind in the Willows’ promises fun for the whole family!

The production runs for approximately an hour and fifteen minutes, with an interval. 10:30am and 1:30pm daily, from September 24 - October 3 (no show Oct 26).

In this hands-on workshop, you’ll discover how to make seed bombs using native flower seeds and all the nutrients and protection the seeds need to get a great start on life.

Suitable for children aged 5 to 12 years.

Footy 4 Fun inclusion is for children aged 5 to 12 that identify as having a disability.

The program will involve fun and modified AFL and sport activities delivered in a safe and inclusive environment.

All abilities are welcome, no prior experience playing AFL is needed.

IDAHOBIT raises awareness of the violence and discrimination still faced by LGBTQIA+ people across the globe. This year’s IDAHOBIT theme is The Power of Communities.

After raising the rainbow flag outside the Manningham Civic Centre, we’ll head inside to the Manningham Function Centre to enjoy morning tea  and hear from guest speaker Charlie, from LGBTQIA+ youth charity Minus18. Charlie will share some of the barriers and challenges that LGBTQIA+ young people experience, along with practical tips for supporting your LGBTQIA+ friends and family. 

This is a free event, however registrations are essential.  We look forward to seeing you there.

The Pines Shopping Centre is kicking-off the holiday season with a Santa arrival for the whole family!

Join us in getting into the Christmas spirit, as Santa arrives on a blue train at the Priceline entrance of the Centre. 

Mrs Claus, Rudolph, Frosty, Paw Patrol's Chase and Marshall and friends will be there to help celebrate too. Plus, there'll be entertainers, free train rides, and live music to put you in the festive mood.

Santa will arrive at 10.00am and take his seat at the Santa set near Kmart. All other characters will continue to roam until 1.00pm.

The annual Lions Club Car Rally is a fun-filled day for the whole community.

The Car Rally will be departing from Domeney Reserve in Park Orchards. Cars will be released in 1-minute intervals from 9.00am. We request participants to be at the Domeney Car park by that time.

This is a pre-booked event, so it is important to book your spot before ticket sales end.

Fun-filled sessions of music and movement for pre-school aged children 2-5 years old. 

They will enjoy 45 minutes of dancing and moving to music with props, facilitated by an experienced dance teacher.

Classes require participation from parents/carers with dances and movement modified for all abilities.

Car parking is available onsite and Bus 905 stops at Thompsons Road / Sunhill Road bus stop.

This program is for children aged 5 to 12 years. All genders and abilities are welcome.

No experience needed. 

Sessions will focus on building confidence, having fun and making new friends.

What to bring? snacks, lunch and a drink bottle.
