During a Learn to Skate session, children and young people build confidence by learning about skate skill development, injury prevention, skate park etiquette and equipment maintenance.

Suitable for  beginners to intermediate skate boarders.

Sporting clubs play in important role in our community. They can be important places of social connections and support, as well as influential structures where attitudes and behaviours, including those towards women and girls, are formed and upheld.

Sporting clubs also have an important responsibility to ensure all members are safe and free from discrimination and harassment. This can be achieved by creating and supporting fair, inclusive and respectful sporting environments on and off the playing field.  

Active Bystander training seeks to support fair, inclusive and respectful sporting environments through skilling participants to not only identify and challenge sexism, but other forms of discrimination such as racism, ableism, homophobia and transphobia. Active Bystander training equips participants to step in when they see or hear sexist or discriminatory language, jokes, behaviours or practices across a range of sports settings and scenarios.  

Research shows that promoting bystander action across your sporting club can support a range of benefits. Some examples of this include:  

• Improved club culture and relationships for all members  
• Attract and retain talent and increase performance and morale 
• Save money and increase profits 
• Support positive change and enhance your reputation 
• Contribute to the prevention of violence against women

This event is running all throughout spring!

Get involved in our community frog monitoring program, and collect data to help us manage frog populations and raise awareness of waterway health issues.

The Frog Census Program collects frog data from community members who record their calls at a local waterway. This data is added to the Atlas of Living Australia and the Victorian Biodiversity Atlas and is used to manage the health of Melbourne’s rivers and creeks.

The MannaCare Memory Place Cafe has been established to provide an opportunity for people with a dementia diagnosis and their carers to connect with others who are travelling a similar road. 

The cafe provides a relaxed, safe and supportive environment for people with a dementia diagnosis and their carers to enjoy time together.

Precious Plastics was started by Dave Hakkens in 2012 as part of his studies to develop machines, techniques, and strategies to tackle plastic waste.

Precious Plastic Monash are a group of students from Monash University and part of the worldwide Precious Plastic community their goal is to tackle and provide solutions to the ever-growing presence of plastic pollution.

Our primary focus areas are education, community, and design. We achieve this goal through our machines, products, and events.

Come and hear about their journey, what they are developing and the technology they are using to further develop this global alternative recycling system.

This event aims to motivate and enable participants to discover local active opportunities within a fun, safe, and inclusive environment.

Designed specifically for women, GO Soccer Mums is all about having fun, meeting new people, and learning basic football skills in a social, judgement-free environment.

It's not just for mums - but for all women, from all walks of life! It doesn't matter if you have never kicked a football before. Absolutely no experience in necessary - anybody can take part.

Mums are welcome to bring their young children or babies if required. There will be a comfortable space for feeding and changing babies. Prams are welcome in the stadium.

GO Soccer Mums is an introductory soccer program designed specifically for women.

It's not only for mums but women from all walks of life! 

In 2022, we've been excited to welcome our Muslim community and any women, female-identifying, and non-binary participants.

Participants will have fun, meet new people, and learn basic football skills in a judgment-free environment.

It doesn't matter if you have never kicked a football before. No experience is necessary, and anybody can take part.

Bring a drink bottle and wear shoes and clothes that allow you to move, run and kick.

Every year, the average Australian sends 23 kg of textiles to landfill. That's over 100 t-shirts - so much money!

Join this engaging class to find out more about ways to recycle and repurpose old objects.

Do you have a worn-out t-shirt at home? Maybe you no longer wear it, but the idea of tossing it away makes you sick to your stomach.

Bring your worn-out or cherished t-shirts to this workshop to learn how to transform them into reusable tote bags.
