The Community Partnership Grant is a category of the Community Grant Program. The grant is available to not-for-profit groups and organisations aiming to achieve longer term community and cultural development outcomes that benefit our residents.
The grant supports activities and programs that address the objectives and health and wellbeing priorities in the Council Plan 2025-2029.
Funding is available across three streams:
- Community Development - to support the development of key community services, programs and other initiatives that respond to the needs of Manningham’s diverse community
- Minor Community Events - to support the activation of key locations and attract people Manningham
- Major Community Events - to support the activation of key locations, attracting and engaging a minimum of 8,000 people to key events in Manningham.
What the grant hopes to achieve:
The aim of the grant is to:
- strengthen community connections and a sense of belonging through cultural and social inclusion
- improve the health and wellbeing of the community
- provide affordable community programs by specialist groups or organisations in response to demonstrated community needs or service gaps
- support a safer and more resilient community
- encourage collaborative relationships between Council, groups and organisations for the benefit of our community.
When does the funding round begin
The Community Partnership Grants funding round occurs every four years.
The next funding round will open on Monday 27 October and close 5.00pm on Wednesday 10 December 2025
How much funding is available for the grant
Funding is available for up to four years across three grant streams.

The grant will prioritise funding for organisations that support:
- improved mental health and wellbeing in all life stages to connect and reduce loneliness
- opportunities for people of all life stages and abilities to participate in active living, recreation and sport
- foster Manningham as a Welcoming Community where everyone, including newly arrived communities, can belong and participate in social, cultural, economic and civic life
- climate change and its impact on health
- prevention of all forms of violence
- reduced damage from harmful products
- access to healthy food
- increased connection to and engagement in community life
- reduced injury and harm
- economic growth in our activity centres and surrounds (parks, reserves etc.)
- small business and community groups to thrive
- build a strong foundation for our arts, cultural activity and local history to thrive
