Mossdale Reserve is a reasonably large (0.5 hectare) and well located reserve next door to a shop, bus stop and is within the catchment area of two nearby primary schools and a retirement village. It also provides pedestrian access between Chippendale Court and Mossdale Court.

Children will enjoy the swings, slide, squeeze bars, rocker and climbing challenges at Mossdale Reserve playground. There is also a picnic table and a milk bar next door.
 

Mossdale Reserve playspace upgrade

We're upgrading the playspace at Mossdale Reserve in Templestowe.

The project is part of our Parks Improvement Program and will be delivered under our 2024/25 Open Space Capital Works Program.

The concept plan proposal works include:

• new play equipment including a multi-age play unit with slide
• a triple swing set
• a rotating see-saw
• junior monkey bars
• two picnic tables
• a range of seating options
• an upgraded drinking fountain
• rock and log edging.

A path connecting Mossdale Court and Birchgrove Crescent to Chippendale Court is being added to allow easier access for prams and general movement through the reserve.

Playspace consultation update

Consultation for the Mossdale Reserve playspace concept design closed on Friday 10 May 2024.

We are currently reviewing the feedback we received and will report back on the consultation outcomes in late June 2024.

Larnaca Reserve is a large (0.6 hectare), well maintained and attractive reserve that can be accessed from Larnaca Court, Wensley Court and Whitehall Court. It is very close to Serpells and St. Charles Borromeo primary schools.

The neighbourhood is well provided with open space and play opportunities and future planning of play should ensure Larnaca complements and does not duplicate nearby reserves at Browning and Apple Blossom Reserves. There is a history of community involvement with tree planting and garden maintenance within the Reserve.

Fielding Reserve links Fielding Way and Aumann Drive with Louisa Court.  It is an attractive reserve for play, walking, relaxing and provides informal recreation opportunities, with basketball, cricket and a large open space.

There is fun for all ages at Fielding Reserve playground. Play opportunities for the younger children include stepping stones, double wave slide, swings, rockers, spinner and on-ground activities.  There is also a basketball tower and cricket pitch with a back net for older children.

Dumossa Reserve has a playground and an attractive shady pedestrian link between Helene Street and Dumossa Avenue. It is a nice place to pass through or stop and rest on the way to Bulleen Plaza shops.

Oxford Reserve is located in an isolated part of Manningham on the southern side of the Eastern Freeway.  The 6,350m2 reserve shares an unmarked boundary with the Eastern Freeway Open Space. 

This Freeway land contains a secondary shared path that connects to the Koonung Creek Linear Park to the west and Mullum Mullum Park to the east.  The Reserve is well landscaped, has a linear rain garden feature, good path connections and diverse play opportunities.  It provides valuable recreation opportunities for residents in this area, including a playspace installed in 2006 catering for 3+ year olds and a basketball ring.
