Manningham Council’s Gambling Policy is due for an update with the latest evidence, data and community input. We are inviting community members to participate in one of two workshops to discuss gambling harm in Manningham.

During these workshops, we want to hear about your understanding of gambling harm in the community and where you think Council should prioritise its response. Your feedback will help us to develop evidence-based strategies to address gambling harm in Manningham.

Topics covered will include:

• gambling harm in Manningham in relation to key community groups and settings
• where the community believes Council should prioritise its effort in responding to gambling harm

We are interested in hearing from people who have been impacted by gambling harm, either directly or indirectly.

The Infant Feeding, Active play and Nutrition (INFANT) program provides parents with evidence-based skills and information about healthy eating and active play for their babies.

INFANT is an evidence-based initiative led by our local Maternal Child Health (MCH) Nurses.

Sessions cover topics including:

• feeding, solids introduction, healthy eating, food refusal and fussy eating
• strategies and ideas on how to play with your baby
• the role that parent wellbeing plays in your baby’s life
• experiences, strategies and tips from other parents. 

Cost: Free

Who should attend: Parents and caregivers

Please note: This is the 9 months session - for babies aged from 8 to 10 months.

We offer interactive sessions in four different age groups:

• 3 months (babies aged from 2 to 4 months)
• 6 months (babies aged from 5 to 7 months)
• 9 months (babies aged from 8 to 10 months)
• 12 months (babies aged from 11 to 13 months).

Prepared to be delighted! The 100 Acres Walk bursts to life with wildflowers during spring.

Join us for an enchanting walk along narrow bush tracks, beside ponds, across bridges, and in the presence of wildlife and enormous gum trees.

The 100 Acres Reserve encompasses 41 hectares and is classified as a conservation reserve of regional significance. The reserve also provides a range of recreational opportunities in a natural bush setting, including walking, jogging and nature appreciation.

• Difficulty: Easy to moderate. Good walking trail.
• Bring: A hat, sunscreen, hand sanitiser and a water bottle.

Seniors of Manningham are invited on a delightful day trip to the Waverley Antique Bazaar, where they might discover hidden treasures, followed by a mini high tea lunch at Mary Eats Cake in Montrose, with morning tea provided along the way. 

This op shop and high tea outing costs $60, which includes transport, morning tea, and lunch.

Bookings are essential, and close on 14 November.

• how to interpret grant guidelines to ensure you hit the mark
• synthesising your content to meet the word limits
• understanding how to define your outcomes / strategies
• realistically budgeting your program.
