Ready to dig, set, and spike your way into the world of volleyball? This beginner-friendly holiday program is the perfect place to start!

Volleyball Labs will keep these sessions fun and welcoming while teaching you the skills and confidence to grow as a volleyball player. Whether you're totally new or just want to level up, you'll learn the fundamentals in a supportive, high-energy environment that focuses on fun, teamwork and inclusion.

Plus, if you're feeling competitive, there's a pathway to take your game to the next level — all the way to state competitions!

Cost: $30 per session or $100 for 4 sessions.

Age group: all genders aged 12 to 17 years or youth in grades 6 to 12 (high school students).

GO Soccer Mums is an introductory soccer program designed specifically for women.

It's not only for mums but women from all walks of life!

In 2022, we've been excited to welcome our Muslim community and any women, female-identifying, and non-binary participants.

Participants will have fun, meet new people, and learn basic football skills in a judgment-free environment.

It doesn't matter if you have never kicked a football before. No experience is necessary, and anybody can take part.

Bring a drink bottle and wear shoes and clothes that allow you to move, run and kick.

Kelly Sports has summer entertainment covered with a jam-packed holiday program filled with sport and recreation activities. From soccer and cricket, to tag games, kids will have a blast staying active and learning new skills.

The Kelly Sports team are supportive and encouraging. Their aim is to help kids get active, develop skills, build confidence and gain a lifelong love for sports and recreation.

Manningham Council are partnering with Kelly Sports to offer a limited number of low-cost, full and half day places in their holiday program.

Participants can select from a range of activities, times and days. Spaces are limited, so get in quick to avoid disappointment.

Program information

classes are for children aged 4 to 12 years
participants must be Manningham residents to qualify for the subsidised rate
only one application can be submitted per child

How to apply

To secure one of the low-cost places, register your interest now via the online form. Once you have submitted the form, a Council officer will contact you to confirm registration into your nominated Kelly Sports program.

Join us at Currawong Bush Park to learn about local wildlife and come face to face with local animals of Manningham.

Recommended for children aged 5 to 12 years, the Manningham Junior Ranger Program is designed to get young environmentalists out and active in our local environment.

Activities include:

Go on a bush park discovery walk with Environment Officers as they explore why Currawong Bush Park is known as the best little wilderness in town
Survive a live wildlife show presented by Reptile Encounters
Experience nature as a place to play, imagine, relax and explore.

Participant information:

Children must be supervised by a parent or guardian at all times. Please arrive 10 minutes prior to start time.
Come prepared and dress for the weather on the day. Please wear closed-toed footwear.
Don’t forget to bring a snack and water bottle for morning tea.
In the event of extreme weather, this event will be cancelled.
Currawong Bush Park is protected habitat, dogs are not permitted in the park at any time.

The Manningham Junior Ranger Program is designed to get young environmentalists out and active in our local environment.

Go on a bush park discovery walk with Environment Officers as they explore why Currawong Bush Park is known as the best little wilderness in town.

Survive a live wildlife show presented by Wild Action, the Zoo that comes to you.

Experience nature as a place to play, imagine, relax and explore.

Important information:

Learn to ride a bike during this 5-week introductory riding program for women, female-identifying and non-binary riders who are aged 18 years and over.

The program focuses on:

skill development
developing fitness
helping you make riding a bike part of your everyday life.

Follow the lead of accredited AusCycling instructors and increase your bike confidence and skills in a supportive, safe, off-road and friendly environment.

Who is it for? This program is suitable for people who don't know how to ride, and for people with some basic riding experience. If you don’t have a bike or helmet, we'll hire these for you. Just make sure you let your instructor know upon your arrival at the first session.

Where to meet: At the car park area to the left of the Mullum Mullum Stadium entrance.

What to bring: Your bike and helmet if you have them, and a water bottle.

What to wear: Comfortable clothes and closed-toe shoes.

Please note: Places in this program are limited, so book your spot now.

Run 4 Fun is a unique skills-based program designed to teach kids and teenagers the fundamentals of good running technique. Participants will learn to move more efficiently in a fun and supportive environment. Sessions are designed to suit designated age groups with a combination of skills, activities and games.

We encourage participants to register for at least two sessions, so that there is continuity, and skill-based development and progression, as each session will be designed to build on the previous sessions.

Program information

Suitable for all genders and abilities
Sessions are for secondary school-aged children
- Years 7, 8 and 9 from 1.30pm to 2.30pm
- Years 10, 11 and 12 from 2.45pm to 3.45pm

Terms and conditions

Priority will be given to Manningham residents for participation in the program, with non-residents being considered if spaces are available.
Two-session package $30.00
Four-session package $40.00
