​Deborah White is a Melbourne-based artist who works across performance-based photography, video and mixed-media installations. 

Everlasting Happiness entertains the utopian idea of love as a political concept. The underlying philosophy of this aspiration is to love the most distant. This is not a sentimental notion of love. It is a robust kind of love with a revolutionary power. Viewing the actions of love as a deployment of force, this work intertwines supernatural wonder with the spectacle of war.

The playful and vibrant performance-based video depicts an anarcho-mystic quest battling against the pathology of the post-truth world. Featuring fictitious characters that defy the rational world, the video is infused with flower power, music and animal warriors that open the heart to hope and joy. All the characters are performed by the artist—serving as a self-reflection on the internal struggle to love unconditionally.  This work strives for the idealistic desire of a utopian non-place of the imagination. Join local ecologist John Harris as he takes you on a journey through Warrandyte State Park’s Fourth Hill.

John will undertake a bird survey and help you identify birds found in the Warrandyte area. 

Walk rating: 3km moderate walk, includes steep and narrow sections, creek crossing, slippery sections and tripping hazards.

Food and snacks

A light breakfast will be provided at the end of the walk. 

If you have any special dietary requirements, we recommend bringing your own food and snacks. 

What to bring and wear 

Bring a water bottle, wear solid shoes, weather appropriate clothing and bring your own binoculars so you don't miss a thing!

Download the Aussie Bird Count Smartphone Application on Android and Apple before the walk and bring your smartphone on the day.

The meeting place will be at Gold Memorial Drive Picnic Ground. 10 minutes before the walk starts.

The Seniors Happy Life Club are proud to be hosting these chats as part of 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence (November 25 to December 10) to help raise awareness and promote a world free of violence for women and girls and non-binary people.

• Hear from a local police and Council officers about local support services, safety, and what we can all do to help prevent violence.
• Learn more about how we can all contribute to ending gender-based violence in our communities.
• Share a safe space for people to discuss the issue and find out how to get help if needed.

Celebrating International Women's Day, Manningham presents No Lights No Lycra. The original dance in the dark movement proven to make you feel better!

Come along and dance without limits or judgement, as we turn out the lights and crank up the tunes during this casual free-form dance class.

All you need to bring is a water bottle, and wear comfortable clothes to dance in.

Release all your inhibitions and work up a sweat, all while completely sober!

Join staff from Aquarena for a fitness session using the wonguim wilam Exercise Station and the surrounding natural space at wonguim wilam.

Sessions run for 45 minutes and are suitable for people of all genders aged 18 years and over.

No experience needed and all fitness levels welcome.

The wonguim wilam exercise station is located between the Kangaroo Ground-Warrandyte Bridge and the Warrandyte Bakery, underneath the bridge.

Every year we come together to celebrate cancer survivors, remember loved ones lost and to fight back against this disease that takes too much from too many. Who will you relay for?

Lindsay is an educator, speaker, author and passionate zero waste/plastic-free living advocate who helps others live more meaningful lives with less waste and stuff.

She has been sharing ideas, tips, tricks and strategies on her website Treading My Own Path since 2013. She has published two books ‘Less Stuff’ and ‘The Less Waste No Fuss Kitchen’, detailing simple and practical methods for how to live simply yet richly. Lindsay also presented at the acclimated TEDx Conference, with her empowering talk 'The Non-disposable Life'.
