Mount Lofty 5km bushwalk meanders through gums and tea-trees, over creeks and along the Birrarung (Yarra River) before rising to the summit of Mt Lofty.
Starting at Brushy Creek, we follow the river upstream, then head up to one of the highest points in Manningham. Enjoy the 360 degree sunset view with the Great Dividing Range to the north and the rapids that mark the start of the Warrandyte Gorge below.
Bring your own hat, sunscreen, water bottle and snack. Wear sturdy shoes and clothing appropriate for the weather. Binoculars are always great for spotting that elusive koala or nightjar.
