Heide Creative Age Program

Two people lean over a stone water feature along a garden path, gently touching the water surface. They are surrounded by dense greenery, flowering shrubs and overhanging trees.

An opportunity for people living with early stage dementia and their carers to discover creativity through art as they explore the landscape of Heide.

Join qualified art therapist Tanis Douglas in Heide's beautiful sculpture park and galleries for life-enhancing activities designed for people living with dementia and their carers. Enjoy nature-based workshops adapted to individual needs and experience the emotional and social benefits of being with others in a welcoming environment.

Art therapist Tanis Douglas is trained in integrating art and psychology and assists participants to express themselves and access their creativity. All program participants are seen as respected collaborators.
