The centre piece of the playspace is a tall tower with multiple decks, climbing ladders and a long tube slide.
In addition to swings and slides there’s loads of nature play amongst the trees and on the logs and rocks defining the mulched play areas.
The space is well catered for with an accessible picnic shelter and public toilets just across the way in the old scout hall.
Bulleen Bowl
The Bulleen Bowl is famous for its retro feel. Initially built in 1982, the park has seen local skaters hone their skills for over 40 years.
New and improved, the 2023 upgrade works at the Bowl involved resurfacing the original snake run to make it smoother and adding a whole new street course zone, nearly doubling the area. The skatepark features a retro colour scheme to reflect its 80s heritage and includes:
- rails
- platforms
- various shaped pads and mounds
- quarter pipes
- seating areas
- funky shade shelters.
The facility is perfect for all ages, including young children learning to ride a skateboard, BMX or scooter.
The new extension and refurbished snake run make this a great park. So if you haven't skated the Bulleen Bowl already, check it out soon - it's just a five-minute walk from the Spring St/Pleasant Rd bus stop (route 280).
