We have joined the community-led movement to put teddy bears and rainbows in our street-facing windows by adding a display at MC Square to lift spirits and bring happiness to children during this time.
You may have noticed the teddy bears and rainbows popping up in your local streets over the last few weeks. These have been part of the “bear hunt” and “rainbow trail” movements that sprung up during COVID-19, and which many kids have followed as they have walked with their families around their local areas.
The “bear hunt” involves children, while out walking and exercising, spotting teddy bears in the windows of houses in their neighbourhoods. The Rainbow Trail offers children another chance to use their eagle eyes and spot colourful rainbows as they walk. The rainbow is also a symbol of connection, positivity and community.
The window at MC Square was decorated by our MC Square Facility Officer together with our Early Years at MC Square team with teddy bears generously donated by their families and Doncare.
