The Victorian Government has recently announced a review of its metropolitan strategy Plan Melbourne and Manningham Council is encouraging the community to have their say.
Plan Melbourne was released in 2014 and provides a long term vision for the city’s growing population to 2050.
A Plan Melbourne refresh discussion paper has been released, which focuses on climate change, energy efficiency, housing affordability and diversity and transport priorities for Melbourne.
The State Government is seeking comments on the discussion paper from community members, industry experts and Councils to ensure the plan accurately reflects community and expert priorities and advice.
Manningham Council will be submitting its comments to the State Government to reflect the current and future needs of our City.
To view the discussion paper, get involved and make comment on the Plan Melbourne refresh, visit www.refresh.planmelbourne.vic.gov.au
Submissions close on Friday 18 December.
The feedback will inform the revised Plan Melbourne 2016, which is anticipated to be delivered in 2016.
