Providing COVID-safe spaces for the community to connect – Pop-Up Dining
As restrictions begin to ease we’re trialling a series of new temporary Pop-Up Dining spaces in Manningham as our way of supporting local business.
The temporary spaces are designed to draw our community back to local shopping strips and centres, so they can reconnect with friends and family while supporting the surrounding local businesses.
All of the Pop-Up Dining spaces have been designed with COVID-safe principals and offer a safe and relaxed environment for people to meet, eat, and support local business. Current pop-up dining locations include Templestowe Village, Tunstall Square and Macedon Square. A large pop-up dining is currently being planned for Jackson Court in Doncaster East.

Festive activations
During the holiday season we will be organising music and events throughout public spaces in Manningham to add a little more vibrancy to our local shopping strips. We’re hoping to create spaces that inspire, working with local artists and performers to bring our places to life.
Making outdoor dining easier
In addition to these spaces, we’re working to support our local hospitality businesses by making it possible for eligible traders to start or expand their outdoor dining footprint and maximise the number of customers who can dine-in.
Hospitality businesses will be able to apply for an extension to their Footpath Trading permit to provide additional space for table service on Council footpaths, on-street car parking areas or local street space.
