Manningham Council is giving two lucky community representatives the opportunity to win a ticket to the inspiring Great Explorations Conference which focuses on how to get kids back outside and connected with nature through story, play and exploration.

The conference will be held at the Royal Botanic Gardens Victoria on Wednesday 16 October 2015 and aims to empower educators and parents to reconnect children with the wonders of the natural world through meaningful storytelling, imaginative play and outdoor exploration.

Are you passionate about the outdoors and want to play a part in connecting Manningham children and their families with the wonders of the natural world?

Then this conference could be for you. The full day Great Exploration Conference will feature experts in nature connection, experiential education and hands-on scientific inquiry.

Competition Entry

To go into the draw to win a ticket to the Great Exploration Conference, simply complete the Great Expectations Conference Entry Form and tell us about you and your aspirations to connect your community with the natural environment.

Entries close at 5.00 pm on Wednesday 16 September.

Entries will be judged on their commitment to inspiring the Manningham community to spend more time outdoors and in their local natural environment as detailed in the entry form. The judging panel will comprise three Council officers. 

The preferred candidates may be contacted prior to final selection to discuss their entry and confirm their ability to attend the conference.

The winning entrants will be encouraged to share their experiences from the conference with their local community.

The competition winners will be notified by Friday 18 September. Winners will be published on our Facebook page.
