Disc Golf, also known as Frisbee Golf, is a fun recreational activity for people of all ages.
The aim of the game is to throw your disc from the tee pad into an elevated metal basket in the least number of throws.
Discover the fun
Want to give it a try but don’t know where to start? The Doncaster Library can help. Discs can be borrowed from the library. It’s the same process as borrowing books and disc stocks have just been topped up.
Once you have some discs, grab a group of friends and head down to Manningham’s home of disc golf at Ruffey Lake Park. Bookings are not required.
The course is 18-holes, with two baskets for each tee and is completed over two laps. The landscape is varied, and trees provide unique obstacles that add to the challenge.
So, dive into disc golf, it’s fun, free, and suits all ages and most fitness levels.
Borrowing discs
Discs can be borrowed with a Whitehorse Manningham Library card, for up to three weeks at a time. Return the discs to the library. You can use the after-hours chute if the library is closed when you want to return them.
If you don’t have a library card, you’ll need your photo ID with a current address to sign up for a library account (you do not have to live in Manningham to open a library account).
View disc availability via the online library catalogue.
