Survey results shows our community believes Manningham is improving its performance, significantly outperforming the State average in four service areas in the 2018 Local Government Community Satisfaction Survey.

The annual survey was completed by 400 residents in February and March this year and assessed the performance of Manningham across a range of measures, including highlighting areas for improvement and more effective service delivery.

The top performing areas were customer service, waste management, senior support services and environmental sustainability.

Manningham Mayor Cr Andrew Conlon said Manningham saw the greatest improvement in community consultation and in customer service, building on the success of our Citizen Connect program to provide a more valued, consistent and improved customer service experience through the creation of a centralised customer service contact centre.

“Initial results showed an improvement from 27 per cent to 66 per cent of all customer calls being resolved through first contact with the contact centre,” he said.

“This has been recognised through a ‘Highly Commended’ award in this year’s Municipal Association of Victoria’s Customer Experience Achievement of the Year awards category.”

Manningham also outperformed the State average in service areas including overall performance, environmental sustainability, making community decisions and sealed local roads.

Cr Conlon said residents have also cited the top three areas for improvement – the nature of development, sealed road maintenance and community consultation.

“We are committed to working with our community to improve in these areas,” he said.
