Community Safety Month is held across Victoria every October, to showcase new and existing community safety initiatives and remind us all about the role we all play in making our communities safer.

As part of Community Safety Month, the local community is invited to attend an interactive and informative session in Manningham to learn about key safety issues including crime prevention, violence against women, and legal services and other programs available within the Manningham community.

Empowering Women to Feel Safe Session
Friday 23 October, 9.30 am – 12.30 pm
Council Chamber
699 Doncaster Road, Doncaster

Manningham residents are also invited to help create a more connected community by participating in the new Community Safety Survey that will be used to identify current issues at a local level and it will provide community feedback to Manningham Council, Victoria Police, Neighbourhood Watch and other organisations.

Topics include perceptions of safety, road and pedestrian safety, family violence, anti-social behaviour, drug and alcohol issues, personal safety, youth crime, street crime, as well as home and public space safety. Evaluation of the survey will inform future development of community safety initiatives in Manningham.

The Community Safety Survey is available online at www.yoursaymanningham.com.au from Friday 9 October and will close on Friday 27 November. Hard copies are also available by request.

Completed surveys will go into a lucky draw for a $100.00 Westfield voucher. Please note that all information received by participants is strictly confidential.
