Increasing public transport movement through constructing new and upgrading existing bus shelters is one of the ways we’re building a better Manningham.
As part of our bus stop upgrade program, we’re constructing a new bus shelter at 463 Doncaster Road, Doncaster to improve accessibility and safety.
Where is it?
We will construct the new bus shelter at 463 Doncaster Road, Doncaster.
Why is the bus shelter needed?
To comply with the Department of Public Transport (DPT) requirements and improve accessibility and safety for public transport users.
When will the works happen?
The project will commence in May 2023 and is expected to take two months to complete. The project will be delivered in two phases with a period of one month in between phases for drying time.
Phase 1 - Civil works
These works will include new concreting, path connections and the shelter footings. Expected timeframe is one week, during which time the stop will be closed.
Phase 2 - Shelter installation
Delivery and construction of the shelter. Expected timeframe is two days, during which time the stop will be closed.
If delays occur due to poor weather or unexpected events, we will let you know.
How will the works affect me?
Once works begin, you will not be able to use this bus stop until the civil works are complete.
We will notify commuters about the disruption via on-site signage.
