Applications for grants of up to $3,000 are now open to community groups and organisations as part of Manningham Council’s Small Grants Program.
Supporting one-off, innovative activities or equipment purchases the Small Grants program supports initiatives that strengthen our community and enhance quality of life locally.
Two categories are available within the Small Grants Program, Community Strengthening (up to $3,000) and Equipment Purchase (up to $1,500).
Manningham Mayor Cr Paula Piccinini is encouraging all community groups to make their applications this month.
“The Small Grant Program is an excellent opportunity for not-for-profit groups delivering one-off innovative activities and minor equipment and asset purchases that support community strengthening initiatives,” she said.
This program provides funding for activities that facilitate greater social inclusion, wellbeing and participation.
As part of its other community grants, Manningham Council supports a wide variety of not-for-profit organisations provided financial support to programs that promoted a safe, liveable and healthy community that was vibrant, creative and inclusive.
This year Manningham has already allocated more than $800,000 worth of grants for not-for-profit groups and organisations empowering people through community led projects.
