Join Melbourne Water Platypus Education Officer, Madeline Taylor, and Manningham Waterwatch Coordinator, Nigel Philpot, for an early morning walk along the Birrarung (Yarra River) to spot platypuses and to celebrate Threatened Species Day.
Along the walk, you'll learn about these unique and vulnerable creatures while in their habitat.
The walk is an easy 2km stroll that's suitable for all ages, including young children. Participants will cross a foot suspension bridge over the Yarra and finish at the Wombat Bend play spaces, making it a fun morning for families.
