Manningham City Council (Council) gives notice to surrender the existing easement at 61-77 Reynolds Road Templestowe (Petty’s Reserve), in favour of the Gas and Fuel Corporation, the predecessor of Multinet Gas (DB No 1) Pty Ltd and Multinet Gas (DB No 2) Pty Ltd (‘Multinet’) and replace it with a new easement over part of the land.

The existing easement is set aside for the purpose of a pipeline for gas distribution and gives Multinet a legal right to use and access that part of the land to install underground pipes and carry out maintenance.

Existing easement

The existing easement (100m2) is 1 metre in width and runs below the ground surface from the northern boundary at the centre of the land towards south for approximately 8 metres and then along the gravel driveway towards the west for 92 metres.

New easement

The new easement (approximately 384m2) set aside for the purpose of cathodic protection for gas distribution purposes, is 2 metres in width and runs below ground surface from the northern boundary near the entry gate for approximately 7.13m2 towards the south and then west along the gravel drive for approximately 182.52m2.

Council will resolve on the surrender of the existing easement and the grant of the new easement 28 days from the date of the publication of this notice.
